Resolution No. 291 of 2023 Regarding the Formation of an Operations Room

Prime Minister

After reviewing:

  •  The constitutional declaration issued on August 3, 2011, and its amendments.
  •  The political agreement signed on December 17, 2015.
  •  The outcomes of the Libyan dialogue forum held on November 9, 2020.
  •  The decision of the Libyan House of Representatives in its session held on March 10, 2021, in Sirte, regarding granting confidence to the National Unity Government.
  •  Law No. 40 of 1974 regarding service in the armed forces.
  •  The letter from the Prime Minister and the Minister of Defense numbered 12858 dated 4/7/2023.
  •  What the public interest requires.

Decided:

Article 1

An operations room is formed as follows:

  1. The Commander of the West Coast Military Region  VicePresident.
  2. The DirectorGeneral of the Electronic Aviation Agency  Member.
  3. The Commander of the 111 Brigade  Member.
  4. The Commander of the 444 Brigade  Member.
  5. Colonel Mohamed AlSheibani AlMerhani  Member.
  6. Major Mohamed Essam AlGhrari  Member.
  7. Lieutenant Alaa Ahmad Mohamed Ben Ramadan  Member.

Article 2

The room formed in the previous article operates under the direct supervision of the Prime Minister and the Minister of Defense. It takes over the coordination tasks among the military units and security agencies assigned with letter number 12858 dated 7/4/2023, referred to, to carry out its tasks, and also providing logistic support to them, in addition to coordinating between them and various security agencies in order to accomplish the tasks assigned to them in the best possible way.

Article 3

Ministries, public entities, and various security agencies are to harness their capabilities to enable the room to carry out its assigned tasks whenever requested.

Article 4

This resolution shall be effective from the date of its issuance, and the concerned entities must implement it.
