The Law Society of Libya
The Law Society of Libya (المجمع القانوني الليبي) is a non-governmental, independent legal initiative dedicated to preserving, archiving, and disseminating Libya’s legal and constitutional heritage. Founded to address the fragmentation and inaccessibility of Libyan legislation, the Society provides an open-access digital platform that organizes thousands of laws, decisions, treaties, and judicial rulings. Through its educational initiatives and volunteer-driven projects, it promotes legal awareness, historical documentation, and the development of legal technology tools to serve researchers, practitioners, and the public alike. The Society operates bilingually, primarily in Arabic, with growing English content to reach international audiences.
